Presidents Profile

Steve Morrison, President of Engineered Business Solutions, has worked in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Structural, Industrial, Civil and Construction specializing in Process Engineering primarily for the Graphic Arts Industry during his 34-year career to date.

Working with large corporations as the senior Engineering Technician, and finally as Vice President of Engineering, Steve has been responsible for the design and construction of several new printing facilities in Canada, including the optimum-workflow layouts and the consolidation of existing business units into their new locations. Other achievements have included the evaluation, selection, relocation, and the training & implementation of an immense variety of equipment and machinery from pre-press to press, to bindery, to pollution control, to process refrigeration and industrial process support systems.

Steve has been involved in production re-engineering, research and development, contract negotiations, capital asset purchases, financing, installations, project management and commissioning of architectural and construction contracts.  His numerous years of work in R&D and procurement of leading-edge technologies have taken him throughout Canada, the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Among his many skills, Steve has been responsible for the retrofit and modification of manufacturing processes increasing production capabilities to further automate print and finishing systems.

Steve is currently and has been (since 1998) founder & owner of Engineered Business Solutions, which specializes in industrial engineering, consulting, and project management. Steve was Vice President of Engineering for a privately owned Canadian printer in Ontario, for approximately 15 years, where he was responsible for their Canadian divisions facilities management, maintenance departments, environmental policies, manufacturing and process equipment, production re-engineering, research and development, equipment selection, contract negotiations, capital asset purchases, installations and commissioning of new facilities, acquisitions, due diligence, and business development.

Through all his achievements and relevant experience, Steve has built a network consortium of professionals who consistently work with him when called upon.  On all facets of a project, you’ll find nothing less than accountable, skilled and qualified Engineers.
